This was fun to put together and the results were very satisfying!
Great quality, would be great if Namokimods can make one with a date window.
Instruction manual was too simple, but no difficulty looking for tutorial videos on YouTube.
The only minor setback was the second hand, took me some time to get it on. I also bent the second hand a little in the process.
Overall great experience building the watch!
I have been "assembling" a watch on many websites shopping carts and then Namoki came out with their kit. I was wanting to build an Explorer type watch and their kit ticked that box for me and was priced quite competitively so everything included so I snapped it up.
SHIPPING: I got my package really quickly. However I was missing a part. I notified Namoki and within a few days I had the missing part on the way. I received the part a couple weeks later, and finally got to assemble my watch. I am pleased with the customer service, however not having the complete kit the first time around was a bit disappointing but things happen and Namoki apologized and rectified the issue.
INSTRUCTIONS: A very basic fold out that gives you an overview of the assembly, much like Lego instructions but with some text. I think this is the area Namoki needs to improve. I have never assembled a full watch before, my experience is that of changing straps/bracelets and batteries. I just used YouTube to answer the more specific questions I had, and I used the fold out for just the order of operations.
WATCH TOOL KIT: The tools were nothing spectacular, but they were overall better quality than what you find on eBay or Amazon. The kit had everything you need to assemble the watch, with one exception, a loupe would have been handy, thankfully I have one, so in my case no big deal.
WATCH: I am very happy with the fit and finishing of all the parts. Far better quality than most Ali Express or Ebay. I will definitely be purchasing from Namoki in the future.
OVERALL: This was my first purchase from Namoki and I am happy with their product and their service. Outside of a small QC issue, and the basic instructions, I would recommend buying from Namoki.
This is my first ever experience with building/modding watches and I found this kit a very good starting point. Installing the seconds hand was challenging, but manageable after using a good magnifying loupe. Trying to keep the case and dial free from dust and smudges proved to be near impossible and I managed to erase the logo and som text from the dial in the process of cleaning the dial. All in all a great kit and a very fun experience. Now I just have to plan what's the next step.
This is a really good starter kit that has pretty much everything you need in order to make your very own watch.
