This was my first go at a quartz movement. Also my first at a chronograph movement as well. Let’s just say I’m glad I own other watches. The movement itself is fairly easy to put together. What I thought would be the hardest parts turned out to be fairly easy. Then I got to the Chrono second hand. I don’t know if it was just me or fate but my second hand refused to line up directly down the middle. I tried adjusting it at least 50 times and no such luck. Eventually I settled on a slightly askew Chrono seconds hand and called it a day. But it gets better. The chronograph function itself barely works. I tried pushing down the pushers 36 times before that second hand started moving. And again maybe it’s user error, but from what I’ve seen online tons of people are commenting on the unreliable chronograph function. So all in all. If you want something that tells you the time go all in on the VK63. If you want a chronograph watch. Buy anything else.
