Happy surprise

Picked up this kit when I bought parts for my first watch build, it was honestly meant to just be one that got me started and gave a decent understanding on what I need, but the quality of parts is top notch and now other than a few additions I don't think I need to swap anything out. Incredible value

First Watch “mod”

Got a build it yourself kit from my wife for Father’s Day (we picked everything out together). Needed the tool kit, so I picked this up. It had everything I needed and then some. For the price, it can’t really be beat. Definitely missing some things for future builds (crystal press) and all the tools were mid to low quality, but they got the job done. I didn’t expect to pay this price for an entire kit and get the highest quality tools.

I love this product. Using it was great. So much ease when ensuring this little parts to be in place when assembling the watch.

Worked great for me

First time modding, switching out minute and second hands. These did the job very well for me.

Perfect! The only flaw is taking a little bit long to post.

Thin and mostly easy to work with

The paper on top sometimes comes apart with my tweezers when trying to get to the dial dot, but once you get the trick they work great

adhesive fail

These dial dots were more or less useless. The adhesive is so poorly attached to the dots that I could barely place them on the movement without the dot coming off with my tweezers, leaving the "stickum" on the movement. Getting the protective layer off the top of the dot was difficult, even although they peel up pretty easily, because they still pull the dot off the movement, leaving the adhesive behind.

Serviceable

I purchased this tool kit on the advice of the Seikomods Subreddit. Pros: you do get more or less everything needed to build a watch. I got a movement holder and a loupe holder to supplement but other than that this covers the basics. Cons: the price for quality. All of these components are available separately or in more modestly priced kits for less. The portion of Rodico is TINY. There is only one loupe and it is only x5 magnification. The tweezers are nothing special; not wood or brass tipped. Everything is fine. Maybe a good place to build out from, it covers the basics. If you don’t want to have to think about it too much and are planning on upgrading later go for it.

Dial Dots

Work as expected on placing a dial with no alignment pins.

Perfect for any small task where you don't want to risk metal tweezers scratching something. Tips are brittle, so get an extra set and don't try to use them to pry or leverage anything.
