NMK920 Tuna SKX007/SRPD Watch Case: Brushed Finish

Tunas are fun to build and I love this case.

Made this build a little more challenging for myself than I should have (cut the wrong dial pin) but I love how it turned out.

This is a great case! Solid, chunky, and the larger size fits in with modern styles. The click action on the pre-installed bezel is very nice. It has a decent amount of resistance as a dive watch should to avoid accidental movement. The shroud adds a lot of protection to prevent accidental bumps too. The shroud increases the diameter, but not thickness. So, it's not overly thick even with the top hat crystal. It weighs in at a hefty 7 oz (200 g) with a Namoki 5-link stainless bracelet. The brushed finish looks awesome and matches well with the brushed bracelet and bezel inserts. My new fav!

I ordered this unique style and finish and it has a vintage feel. I paired it with the white wave dial, domed sapphire crystal, and blue rubber strap. The dial is at the 4 o’clock position. It was really a great build and one of my jewels in my collection. Namoki Mods has so many offerings and styles in different modding parts that it’s sometimes hard to chose. They have been helpful when I send my order in to make sure the parts are compatible.

As described, this case fits well with skx components for the bespoke look I was looking for.

Awesome case! Second one I have bought. I swapped the black shroud onto the stainless one for a more OEM look! And I love it.

What a fantastic case, big and tooly but very wearable!

The finish and construction is fantastic, bezel action is great too, very Seiko like.

My only criticism is the space between the lugs is limited and fitting thicker rubber straps was difficult, only recommendation would be to extend the lugs slightly or remove some steel from the case to create a touch more room.

Such a gorgeous Tuna conversion case. Will purchase more for future builds. Still waiting on my "Nemo" bezel insert from ebay. That would be a cool offering. Love me some orange and blue.

Fantastic quality!

This case is high quality and easy to wear on the wrist! Not too big and not too small. Very happy with the new tuna mod! Looking forward to shop more modparts from Namoki again!

I’ve always hired other modders to make my custom Seiko builds, but I decided I’d try my own. Namoki made this SKX/SRPD tuna case kit, which was truly “plug and play”. I transformed my beaten up SRPD59 and dropped the dial, movement, handset, and chapter ring into the case. Everything fit perfectly. The Namoki double dome sapphire was perfect was a perfect fit too. The included caseback and crystal gaskets were a nice touch. An overall easy and fun experience. I’ll be back to make myself a custom SRPD Emperor Tuna.

well built

emperor tuna is a difficult watch to wear because of its dimensions. This case makes the experience totally different as the case has a skx007 proportion with a small shroud. no regret buying it!

The finish is excellent, the quality is great too. The bezel's movement has a very premium motion as it clunks round.

Very love it. Make me complete my automatic tuna under $ 300 usd.
