SSK LX Lünette: Stahlfinish

I ordered a set of parts to mod my Seiko GMT. Parts are of a very high quality (I used a bezel, an insert therefor, new crystal and a new bracelet.). I had to contact the support for the bracelet, which turned out to be fine and the problem was completely on my side.
Also I managed to forget to add my welcome code for a 10% discoout that you get if you sign up for the newsletter, they applied it afterwards after I asked them if it was possible.
Support was more than helpful, answered quickly and was one of the best customer service experiences I ever had. 10/10, would shop there again and will probably do in the next weeks (Shout out to Keith!).

I purchased an SBSC001 last year in Osaka, and while I love the watch I honestly didn’t wear it as much because the OEM bezel is quite high. It makes the watch frankly quite bulky, and only suitable for certain situations.

When I learned about modding, and saw this specific bezel, I knew I had to give it a shot specifically for the slimmer profile. I am extremely satisfied with this. Rather than the watch be limited to when I want something bulky, I wear it all the time. It put this watch back into daily wear, it is such an improvement over OEM.

I highly recommend for anyone interested in modifying their watch. The SBSC001 was a “good enough” personal souvenir for a trip. This perfects the watch and turns it into a daily wear go-to. Absolutely perfect.

I made this review to show that you can definitely use flat bezel inserts without having to also use a slim crystal. The original crystal will only pop up ever so slightly and it does not look bad at all. Also, I must note that be sure that the tape is the correct one or make sure it’s only between the bezel and insert, because the wrong size will actually sit on the case and lock your insert in place while your bezel moves freely. Top photo shows original Bezel and insert. Bottom two show how it looks with a slim Ssk bezel and flat Skx/Srpd bezel insert.

I’ve always admired the timeless design of the Rolex GMT Pepsi. To give my underutilized Seiko SSK series a fresh look, I decided to mod it. After researching online, I discovered Namoki, a local SoCal supplier with the perfect parts. The shipping was incredibly quick, and the packaging was top-notch. Namoki's quality and service have me considering future modding projects for my other watches.

Added this to my SSK build to use a flat crystal from NAMOKI mods. Absolutely love the quality and fit of this LX bezel, couldn’t be happier with how it looks.

I really wanted to put a lumed 24hr ceramic bezel insert on my Seiko GMT, but couldn't find one. They were however available for SKX007 watches, so this bezel solved my problem. I think it looks great. Also, my Seiko Samurai came with a knurled bezel, and I like that very much, so I was happy that Namoki had a knurled bezel that would fit my GMT. I purchased a SKX007 24hr lumed bezel insert from another vendor, and it fit perfectly. I am very happy with how the watch looks with the new bezel and insert.

SSK Sub Bezel is great fit and love it much more than original one.

The original seiko black and grey insert was a no go for me, didnt like it at all.
Got the ssk sub steel bezel, first insert i went with is ceramic black and red with lumes from long island watch.
Like the new look, the red on ceramic is dark red, like root beer red, in future might replace it with different insert.

I have looked for a world time bezel insert for a long time, but none would fit the newer SSK. Once I found this bezel, I was now able to pursue my dream modification. With the Namoki bezel tool, the swap was easy to do. Watch came out better than I had imagined it would.

I purchased this for my Seiko SSK and it doesn’t move. It became a stationary bezel.

Lovely update for my SSK. Allows me to use all of the SKX inserts I have accumulated over the years.
