Beautiful case with a little flaw.The wall thickness between the clickspring and where the bracelet is connected is very thin (about 1mm). the coin edge bezel was rotating very strong. So I had to remove it, which was extremly difficult.There is no possibilty to get an opening tool under the beszel without damaging the case. I bent the thin wall where the bracelet ist connected and made some dents etc. It took me half a day to polish most of the damage out.The was eventually was destroyed trying to get off.The design of the case or the bezel should be altered, so that it will be possible to get an opening tool underneath with doing to much damage.
Gold plating started wearing off immediately. Now more like a faded gold with stainless streaks on the edges. Do not buy if you want a gold case.
Long overdue review.
I've been wearing this watch made from this case in the last 2 months. I've got to say, it brings a smile to my face every time.
I'd been in love with the Willard design for quite some time, and namokimods had had nothing but great reviews across all public forums, so decided to pull the trigger.
The quality is good. All parts fit perfectly, and outside of user error, had no issues with it on the build.
A nit... I do wish this case were a little more "pudgy" like the current modern willard lineups,i.e. the SPB151. I can only assume this isn't as pudgy due to this being an SKX parts case.
