NMK-WK09 Kit d'horloger DIY: GMT Watch

Got a generic manual with little undetailed drawings, limited instructions that seems to fit most watches but not specific to the one I got, Stem installation absolutely confusing you receive 2, one too short and one too long and apparently (well this is what I end up doing not even sure if it’s correct) you are supposed to cut the big one to size (with what… well up to you to sort it out)

Gorgeous watch and an impressive kit, especially for the price. Unfortunately, I had no idea what I was doing and ended up having to replace the dial, movement, and hands before it was finished. I don't think you can get a better watch for this price.

I do want to point out a few issues that prevent this from being five stars. First, the sapphire crystal has a couple of cloudy spots on it that I cannot remove. It adds some "character" to my finished watch, but a spotless crystal would have been nice. Second, the instruction manual was slightly confusing about which dial feet to trim off...hence why I had to replace the dial. In general, the instructions are pretty limited--I would suggest watching youtube videos before you start. Third, while the tool kit has been mostly pretty good for this watch and two other kits I have made, one of the watch hand removal tools fell apart after the first use. These won't be confused for professional grade tools, but they've gotten the job done.

While I know people have varying abilities to follow directions, I did follow them accurately (and to be honest the instructions are lacking) the date change is out of adjustment. The "package comes with all the tools" to do the job, yet the instructions have a nice movement holder (which there was not suggestion to buy), but I feel that would have decreased difficulty immensely.
Would recommend getting the movement holder, as well as a second hand installation tool. Not really impressed.

Watch is great beautiful only thing is I’ve been really triggering to get that second hand on there I think I damaged it too much at this point to get it on definitely just user error just harder than it looks
