Love this sub case

Have used in about 8 NH builds so far. Works well with thin bezel and slopped bezel insert with NMK308 domed crystal. Sorry for reflections in some of pictures.

NMK941 GMT Sub SKX007/SRPD Watch Case Mk 2

Most sub conversion cases look terrible in my opinion, it's just not a watch that scales well to the skx proportions so I've always thought they look clumsy. I was intrigued by the new one from Namoki though and I'm delighted to say it looks fabulous. The chamfered edges on the underside of this watch are not present on original rolex submariners, so most manufacturers don't think to do them on their conversion cases. However, Namoki's application of them is a stroke of genius. They make for much more elegant profile view that totally slims down the look of the watch. I could honestly stare at this thing for hours, it's a far more pleasant and sophisticated thing to hold than lesser submariner imitations.

My biggest complaint is the integrated chapter ring. It has no markers on it and while it looks fine, I'd prefer the option of choosing my chapter ring over being stuck with a fixed design. I think the watch would also look better if it were built to the dimensions of the skx013 and not the 007, the smaller crystal and 20mm lugs on the 013 would really perfect it, but that doesn't spoil it.

My recommendation would be to buy it with a slim caseback and slim crystal+bezel. I paired it with a standard height bezel and the additional thickness does slightly dampen the elegance of the profile. My fault.

Note - I also bought the nautilus bracelet for the skx007 to go with it. It's a tight fit but it looks terrific, in my opinion much better than the slightly overbearing oyster or jubilee bracelets that you can buy for these.

Perfect Case for GMT's

The case is awesome. The polished sides are done well with the brushed lugs not overlapping any finishing anywhere. The crown guards aren't obtrusive or too big and the sizing of the lugs themselves are great, with them being a slimmer style rather than your thicker maxi-style case from a certain Swiss brand (rhymes with Brolex). Theres a well done slight bevelling on the underneath of the case to take some thickness out when you look at it from the side which is a fantastic little detail. Id pair it with the slim caseback or the standard one as its bordering on being quite a chunk of metal if you want the display caseback, but if you've got thicker wrists then go for it. I've gone for an explorer II look and it is the perfect style of the 16570 with smaller dimensions while being able to get the modern 216570/226570 look with dial/hand combos

Second time was the charm

I ordered an NMK941 case for an Explorer II build and it simply wouldn’t accept a movement or dial. I believe the problem was the crown tube was installed incorrectly. I ordered another and it worked great. This is really the first bad experience I’ve had with NamokiMODS. After building about 8 watches with their parts it’s generally a good experience.

Nh34 case fit

The fit for nh34 was a little to tight to my liking. I had difficulty placing and removing the movement into the case. Other than that, superb quality, like always :).
