Creator Notes: The design of the AquaJust is inspired by one of my favourite iconic watches, the Datejust. Its fluted bezel exudes elegance while enhancing the dressy-look of the piece. Additionally, the versatile and sporty oyster-style bracelet transforms this timepiece to that of a go anywhere do anything watch. Moreover, the familiar, sharp, and straightforward baton hands strike every minute with precision and refinement. When quickly glancing at the GS Iwate Navy dial, it appears to be the quintessential navy dial that adorns most modern timepieces. However, upon closer inspection, one will notice the ripple-like pattern that subtly enhances the dial's complexity; the significance of water played an outsized role in the design of the AquaJust as it plays a symbolic role in connecting humanity through trade, travel, and even time. Water not only pushed the industry to innovate increasingly water-resistant watches, but also was itself used in ancient Egyptian water clocks to track the perplexing beauty that is time.
