SKX Caseback: Polished Finish
Here's a simple polished caseback to complete your SKX mod. Maybe you don't like how fancy and intricate the stock SKX caseback is. Maybe you want a caseback that is a little simpler, and let's the other side of the watch do the talking.

Thickness: 1.8mm
Water Resistance: 200m
Fits Seiko NH movements (like the ones that we sell) with a Grey Spacer only.

Installed SKX Slim Sapphire caseback on NMK949 Miyota Field case. Fit well, no issues. Overall thickness of this assembly is only 10.3mm.

Installed this on my SSK001 and it made a big difference in case height. Easy installation (make sure to order new caseback gaskets too, and lightly grease them beforehand) but it shaved a lot of the unnecessary height off the case. Sits MUCH flatter on the wrist now.
I have used the caseback for my rose gold SRPE. It’s thin as claimed and thickness between crystal (flat) and the caseback is around 11.2 mm.
I have these case backs on all of my watch builds. They look great!
Part of why I love collecting and building watches is the fact that they are automatic and mechanical. Being able to see that with a display caseback is the best. Love this component and it will always be a part of any build I do.

I built this watch as a gift for a friend and wanted him to get the full effect of the mechanical movement. Now I feel like I need one for myself!
I like the slimmer profile and weight savings with this, but I mostly got it to give a better match for a gunmetal watch build. This matched the build and gave better water resistance than the gunmetal options I could find elsewhere.

This was a great product to finish my gold skeleton project for a NH71 watch that is a little dressy. I rarely place display caseback, but wanted to utilize for his time. This was a nice one that worked with the other case that I used from Modmode. Great caseback would buy again.
I use it with the srpe model. I had no problems with fluid leaking. I'm satisfied.
Yes, this is tad thicker than the solid metal caseback that came with the case I bought. But frankly, I'm not sensitive that I can tell the difference when it's strapped to my wrist. Perhaps there are those who can, but I'm not one of them.
The specialness of being able to see the decorated rotor that I also purchased and to be able to see the balance wheel turning is for me, and me alone. People I meet won't ever see it or know that it's there, my partner (who is one of the few people who ever sees the watch when it's not on my wrist) barely notices it, but I see it every time I put the watch on, and it just makes me feel good that it's there because it was a treat for me.

I think that all mechanical watches should actually have a glass back. The timepieces are beautiful works of art that can also be seen in their simplest form. It is always a pleasure to take off the watch to view the interior.
A solid caseback that isn't too thick whilst maintaining 100m Water Resistance (important for desk diving), fits my OP case for my explorer I build.
