NMK941 GMT Sub SKX007/SRPD Watch Case Mk 2

Most sub conversion cases look terrible in my opinion, it's just not a watch that scales well to the skx proportions so I've always thought they look clumsy. I was intrigued by the new one from Namoki though and I'm delighted to say it looks fabulous. The chamfered edges on the underside of this watch are not present on original rolex submariners, so most manufacturers don't think to do them on their conversion cases. However, Namoki's application of them is a stroke of genius. They make for much more elegant profile view that totally slims down the look of the watch. I could honestly stare at this thing for hours, it's a far more pleasant and sophisticated thing to hold than lesser submariner imitations.

My biggest complaint is the integrated chapter ring. It has no markers on it and while it looks fine, I'd prefer the option of choosing my chapter ring over being stuck with a fixed design. I think the watch would also look better if it were built to the dimensions of the skx013 and not the 007, the smaller crystal and 20mm lugs on the 013 would really perfect it, but that doesn't spoil it.

My recommendation would be to buy it with a slim caseback and slim crystal+bezel. I paired it with a standard height bezel and the additional thickness does slightly dampen the elegance of the profile. My fault.

Note - I also bought the nautilus bracelet for the skx007 to go with it. It's a tight fit but it looks terrific, in my opinion much better than the slightly overbearing oyster or jubilee bracelets that you can buy for these.

Nh34 case fit

The fit for nh34 was a little to tight to my liking. I had difficulty placing and removing the movement into the case. Other than that, superb quality, like always :).
